How we work here
Avante operates from Mumbai and has no office in Chandigarh. Vehicles here come from operators we have vetted, held to a published standard, with one coordinator and one bill from us.
Avante Travels operates from Mumbai, where we own our fleet and run our own garages. We do not have an office in this city, and we would rather tell you that here than let you discover it later.
What you get instead is our network. Vehicles come from operators we have vetted and worked with over time, held to a standard we publish rather than one we claim. One coordinator at Avante owns your booking, you get one bill from us, and thirty years of operating means we have the relationships to fix a problem rather than pass it on.
Do not risk a corporate event or a family trip on an unknown local vendor found through a search result. That is the whole argument for using us here.
Vehicles come from partners we have worked with over time, not from whoever answers the phone first on the day.
Every vehicle we send is under three years old and in the category you booked or higher. Occasionally we upgrade at the same price and do not charge extra for it.
An Avante person owns your booking from the first call to the final invoice. You do not deal with the local operator and you do not chase them.
However many operators are involved, your finance team gets one invoice from us rather than several from names they do not recognise.
If a vehicle falls short, that is our problem to fix rather than yours to absorb. Three decades of operating is what makes replacing it possible.
We have no office here and we say so on this page. You are buying the standard and the coordination, not a local branch.

This is the one city on our list where the road decides the vehicle rather than your group size. Most Himachal roads beyond Shimla cannot take a full coach, and we will tell you that before you book rather than after.
The bigger the vehicle, the less each person pays. A 13 seater on a day trip works out around ₹615 a head. A 49 seater on the same trip works out around ₹367. If your group sits close to the next size up, going up usually costs less per person, not more.
Travelling with elderly passengers or small children? Book one size above your headcount. The spare row means somebody can put their feet up and lie down, or the children have somewhere to play.
These are the runs we arrange most often out of Chandigarh. Times assume a full vehicle with an 80 km per hour speed limiter and a halt, so they run longer than a mapping tool suggests. Plan for roughly 10 to 15 per cent more distance than the map says, an hour more on trips up to five hours, and two hours more beyond that.
| Route | Distance | Plan for | We suggest | Quote |

Some venues and rural roads on these routes cannot take a large vehicle. Send us the exact pickup and drop addresses, including any unpaved or seasonal stretches, and we will confirm access before you book rather than on the day.
There is no Avante office in this city, so there is no local address or local number to publish. Bookings are handled from our Mumbai office and delivered locally by our network.
Our Mumbai office
No. Avante operates from Mumbai. Vehicles here come through our vetted partner network, nothing older than three years and in the category you booked or higher, with one coordinator and one bill from us.
Up the main highway to Manali, yes. Beyond that and on most Himachal hill roads, no. This is the one city where the road decides the vehicle regardless of group size, and we will say so before you book.
Rohtang and the higher passes are usually closed from November to May with snow. If your itinerary depends on them, your dates decide the trip rather than the other way round.
Partly. The Mall Road area is closed to vehicles, so you will be dropped at a distance and walk in. Worth planning for if elderly travellers are in the group.
All our vehicles are speed limited to 80 km per hour, which RTO rules require. It is set in the vehicle and we cannot raise it. Factor that into your timings.
The bigger the vehicle, the lower the cost per head. A 13 seater on a Lonavala day trip runs about ₹8,000, which is roughly ₹615 each. A 49 seater coach on the same trip runs about ₹18,000, which is roughly ₹367 each. If you are close to the next size up, it is usually worth going up.
To secure your preferred vehicle, book as early as you can. We also take last minute bookings up to an hour before pickup, depending on what is free and where it is.
Some routes beyond Manali require them. We arrange them where needed, but they take notice, so tell us the itinerary early.
