There is one distinction worth understanding before you book, because it is where most people get misled. An Eicher Volvo has front air suspension only. An original Volvo has full air suspension on every axle. Both are good coaches. They do not ride the same over 400 kilometres, and the price difference reflects that.

The right coach depends on how long people are on board and whether anyone needs to sleep.
Full air suspension on every axle, which is what makes a long drive noticeably easier. Washroom available on some coaches subject to availability, so ask when you book if that matters. This is the premium option and it costs accordingly.
Front air suspension rather than full. A good coach and considerably less expensive than an original Volvo. On routes under about 300 kilometres most passengers will not notice the difference. Over that, they will. We would rather tell you that than sell you the wrong one.

Refusing to call an Eicher Volvo a Volvo is the credibility position on this page. Keep it.

Coaches in this class have the largest luggage bays of anything we arrange. A full group with full suitcases is routine. Luggage is not the constraint on this vehicle. Access and timing are.

Take an original Volvo for long highway and overnight routes, where full air suspension genuinely changes how people arrive. Take an Eicher Volvo for medium distances where you want a premium coach without the premium price. Take a standard AC coach for city shuttles and short runs, because on those the difference is money you will not notice.

Google Maps times assume a car on an empty road. A full vehicle with a speed limiter, a halt and Mumbai traffic on the way out takes longer, and the distance runs higher than the straight line too. Here is what to actually plan for.

Coaches in this class come through our vetted partner network rather than from our own garage. Buying a Volvo outright is a very large investment for a vehicle that runs a limited number of days a year, and almost every operator in Mumbai arranges these the same way. We would rather say so than imply otherwise.
What we control is the standard. Any coach we send is under three years old and in the category you booked or higher, and we tell you which coach is coming before the day.
When we bring in a vehicle from our vetted partner network, it is no more than three years old and in the same category you booked or higher. Occasionally we upgrade a client at the same price, and we do not charge extra when that happens.

On most nearby states we pass on a discount of up to 50 per cent on the normal state tax, all year round, not as a seasonal offer. If you would rather have one all inclusive figure with nothing charged afterwards, ask and we will quote it that way.
Our buses and tempo travellers run from Kandivali. Our cars run from Andheri. We do not want to bill you for the drive to your door, so for most pickups across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai we calculate distance from a point closer to your boarding location once you tell us where that is. Both kilometres and hours are counted the same way.
A note on waiting. No vehicle stays running in standby for more than ten minutes in one spot. If you need the engine and air conditioning kept on while the vehicle waits, tell us and we will quote it, because it burns fuel.

All our vehicles are speed limited to 80 km per hour, which RTO rules require. It is set in the vehicle and we cannot raise it. Factor that into your timings, and see the route table above for realistic drive times.
From a point close to your boarding location wherever we can, not strictly from our garage. Our buses and tempo travellers sit in Kandivali and our cars in Andheri, and we would rather not bill you for the drive to your door. Tell us your pickup point and we will confirm how it is being counted.
The bigger the vehicle, the lower the cost per head. A 13 seater on a Lonavala day trip runs about ₹8,000, which is roughly ₹615 each. A 49 seater coach on the same trip runs about ₹18,000, which is roughly ₹367 each. If you are close to the next size up, it is usually worth going up.
To secure your preferred vehicle, book as early as you can. We also take last minute bookings up to an hour before pickup, depending on what is free and where it is.
