Avante Travels rents buses, tempo travellers and cars with a driver in Mumbai. It was started in 2020 by Manish Bhatia, who has been in the bus industry since 1991. He builds on the business his late father, Shri Prakashlal Bhatia, one of the pioneers of bus rental in Mumbai, started in 1975. You are welcome to inspect the actual vehicle at our Kandivali garage before you book, for the 13, 20 and 26 seater tempo travellers and the Urbania. Call ahead so we can make sure it is not out on a job.
When we use a partner vehicle
Some vehicles come from our vetted partner network, including Maharaja tempo travellers, Volvo and Mercedes-Benz coaches, and luxury cars. We tell you before you pay. Every partner vehicle is under three years old and in the category you booked or higher, and now and then we upgrade you at the same price.
02Tempo travellers
Modified, Not Standard
Our tempo travellers are not standard vehicles. Every one has been rebuilt inside.
A sofa-cum-bed row
A sofa at the back that turns into a bed, so somebody can actually lie down on a long drive. A standard tempo traveller has nothing like it.
Luxury seating
Wider luxury seats fitted in place of the standard rows, which means more room for every passenger on a long trip.
Packglass cabins
Fully modified packglass interiors, finished inside rather than left as the standard factory cabin.

03Pricing
How We Quote
Every charge is written on your quote before you pay anything. Nothing appears for the first time on the final bill.
One thing works differently from most operators. Our buses and tempo travellers run from Kandivali and our cars from Andheri, but we do not bill you for the drive to your door. For most pickups across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai, we count kilometres and hours from a point close to your boarding location.

04Honest advice
We Will Tell You When
Some of our best advice costs us the bigger booking. We give it anyway.
An Eicher Volvo will do
An original Volvo has full air suspension, and it earns its cost on long overnight routes. An Eicher Volvo has air suspension at the front only. On shorter runs you will not feel the difference, and we will tell you so.
One vehicle beats two cars
Once you are seven or more adults, one tempo traveller usually costs less than two cars, and everyone travels together.
Google's drive time is too short
Google assumes a car on an empty road. Our vehicles carry a full load and are speed limited to 80 km per hour, so we plan on roughly 10 to 15 per cent more distance, an hour more on trips up to five hours, and two hours more beyond that.
A coach cannot reach your venue
Many Mumbai venues and rural roads cannot take a large vehicle. Send us the exact address and we will confirm access before you book, not on the day.
05Standards
Safety and Standards
Every vehicle is speed limited to 80 km per hour, fitted as RTO rules require. It cannot be raised on request.
Our coaches come with GPS tracking, fire extinguishers and emergency exits as standard.
Permits and insurance are kept current on every vehicle, and our own vehicles are serviced in house on a fixed schedule.
Partner vehicles are under three years old and in the category you booked or higher.
Every driver holds a valid commercial driving licence. All our own drivers are police verified.
On long outstation and overnight routes, we plan proper rest breaks for the driver, and tell you in advance if the distance calls for a second driver or a night halt.
06Accountability
One Coordinator, One Bill
If your booking involves several vehicles, or more than one city, you still deal with one person. A named coordinator at Avante owns the booking from the first call to the final invoice, and you get one bill from us, however many vehicles or partners are involved.

We own most of the vehicles we rent, and our own drivers run them. When a booking needs a partner vehicle, we name it before you pay and hold it to a three year vehicle standard. You deal with one coordinator, not a support queue.
